Who is Quayside for?
Fish merchants and buyers who want to know what prices are doing before they commit. Port operators and auction managers who want their prices reaching more buyers. Anyone in the trade who needs a reliable daily read on UK auction prices.
How is the data collected?
We pull prices directly from port websites where they publish daily results. For ports that don't publish online, we work with their operators directly — they send their price sheet in whatever format they already use, we extract and normalise the data, and publish it once they've confirmed it's correct.
How current is the data?
Prices are updated as soon as auctions publish — typically within an hour or two of the sale closing. The daily digest lands in your inbox once trading for the day is done. There's no manual delay: when the data is there, it goes out.
Which ports are covered?
We currently cover Peterhead, Brixham, Newlyn, Lerwick, and Scrabster — five of the UK's major fish auction ports. We're actively adding more. See the full port map →
